Rudy Gobert destroys:  "Only your mother would appreciate your performance"

Huge since the beginning of the season, Rudy Gobert however does not escape the occasional criticism. The latest one, however, is below the belt, since it involves the mother of the three-time Defender of the Year! We need to calm down here...

If last season ended in a big disappointment for him and his teammates, it seems that Rudy Gobert was able to put it aside to attack the current campaign. After three games, the Jazz are already on the podium of the Western Conference, only ahead of the Warriors but with a perfect record. The Stifle Tower has been in Olympic form since the start of the season, shooting 18.7 points and 19 (!) rebounds per game! That's what we call putting in the double digits.

Recently opposed to Denver, Utah took the opportunity to send a big message to the league, by winning 122-110 at the end of a game masterfully managed in the money time. The Nuggets also suffered a blow of fate, the MVP Nikola Jokic having to leave with an injury after a collision with Rudy. No matter for the Frenchman, who decided to seize the opportunity. In total, it is 23 points and 16 rebounds that fell into his hands.

Kevin Harlan sacks Rudy Gobert for his clumsiness in throws

Only shadow in the picture for Gobzilla: his free-throw shooting, which left something to be desired against the Pépites. With only 9/16 on the line, the interior has indeed wasted a lot of cartridges that would have increased his stats, but also the lead of his team. This has earned him a punchline of unprecedented violence! This one is signed by Kevin Harlan, a veteran commentator who can also be heard on NBA2K games:

For the sake of it, we remain amazed at such a verbal outburst. We wouldn't be at all surprised if the Frenchy didn't appreciate it either... As the voice of the league and the media, Harlan certainly shouldn't have allowed himself such a statement on the air. Even if we can imagine that Rudy's haters must have been celebrating when they heard his words...

Fortunately, this inglorious incident does not change the result of the game. Thanks to this big win, the Jazz remain undefeated on the current season and seem to be back on the same basis as last year. However, Quin Snyder and his men are hoping for a different outcome, as they failed to reach the second round against the Clippers. This time, the Mormons hope to go further, and maybe even to the end.

We'll have to wait and see if Rudy Gobert reacts to Kevin Harlan's blunt statement, but he would have the legitimacy to do so. Some things can't be said publicly...
